Were looking for a general Senior Sonographer to supportour Diagnostic World ultrasound services across Kent.
You will make healthcare better for our patients byundertaking ultrasound procedures efficiently and effectively for both thepublic and private sectors; adhering to best practice of ultrasound techniquein line with company policy and guidelines.
Main duties of the job
What you will do:
* Undertake ultrasound procedures in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols (aligned with RCR & SOR Standards).
* Undertake examinations in line with the patient referrals adhering to organisational guidelines.
* Manage a safe, effective, caring and well led environment responsive to our patients, customer and staff requirements.
* Support the Clinical Lead and Training Lead when required.
* Support the Operational Management Team with operational queries and participate in team meetings ensuring effective communication within the service.
* Support the Clinic HCA as required to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.
* Assist trainee sonographers and other colleagues in the achievement of their learning outcomes.

Within our service offering, we provide General and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound to patients across the Midlands & South-East on a referred and self-referred basis.
Job responsibilities
What you will do:
* To providegeneral abdominal, pelvic, small parts and vascular/MSK/Early Pregnancy ultrasound scanning services in conjunctionwith other Sonographers and health care professionals.
* To independentlyperform ultrasound scanning duties to the required standards ofDiagnostic World and client partners and to produce a clinical reportfor each ultrasound scan undertaken.
* To undertake anyadministrative duties necessary for speedy progression of patients andpatient results e.g. Patient Escalations.
* Toactively participate in matters concerning clinical governance, clinicalaudit and assessment
* To haveresponsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing professionaldevelopment (CPD).
* To undertake anyequipment tests as part of Diagnostic Health quality assurance programand to report any equipment faults to the service manager
* To adhere tocompany policy and procedures in terms of health and safety, dataprotection and confidentiality and SOPs
* To give fullco-operation in any investigations of a complaint or untoward incidentand comply with company procedure to that effect.
* To ensure thatprofessional and technical knowledge/expertise is kept up to date and tomaintain a portfolio to show evidence of personal professionaldevelopment.
* To participatein individual performance review (appraisal) on an annual basis.
* To hold, andwhen required exchange with colleagues, company assets required to carryout service effectively.
* Advice on a complaint/incident
* Assist with recruitment when required
* Join Clinical Advisory Board meetings whenrequested and assist in the review of reporting guidelines
Person Specification
Qualifications
* About you:
* Hold a minimum of a PGD in Ultrasound (or equivalent) and be a member of an appropriate professional body with valid registration.
* Have significant clinical experience as a qualified sonographer, undertaking a wide range of NOUS procedures at a minimum, General, Gynaecology and small parts.
* Hold excellent scanning and reporting skills.
* Hold a full clean UK driving licence and have access to a car.
* Demonstrate an appreciation of patient care.
* Be resident in an area which is reasonably commutable to the location of the role.
