ABOUT THE ROLE
As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll bring a unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service to customers’ doors. You will contribute to the shop’s day-to-day operations when not on the road, including stock replenishment and housekeeping, supporting a friendly and welcoming team. Night Premium applies to hours between 22:00 and 06:00 for those starting from 5 October 2025, at £3.50 per hour, including existing Partners on Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements. You must be 18 years or older to work in this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Check delivery routes for the day.
* Load and prepare the van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together for efficient delivery directly to customers.
* Complete vehicle safety checks and maintain road compliance and health and safety standards.
* Represent the Waitrose brand on the road with excellent customer service as a priority.
* Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
* Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
Essential skills/experience
* Full valid B-category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Great customer service skills.
* Time management skills.
* Ability to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g., lifting crates, moving cages).
* Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and adaptable.
* IT literacy.
Desirable skills/experience
* Previous experience in a driving role and knowledge of chilled vehicles is welcomed.

Hours of Work: Vacancy 1 – 2 week rota: Week 1: Friday 14:30-21:45; Week 2: Friday 14:30-21:45 and Saturday 13:30-21:45. Vacancy 2 – 2 week rota: Week 1: Tuesday 14:30-21:45 and Saturday 07:00-15:00; Week 2: Sunday 07:15-15:45 and Tuesday 14:30-21:45.
