Overview

Compensation & Location

* Salary: up to £50k, depending on experience
* Location: Cornwall – relocation allowance of 5% of the offered salary

Role Summary

The Print Design Manager will lead and shape the creative print and colour strategy for Seasalt products, developing timeless, elevated, and commercially successful collections that reflect the brand’s premium aesthetic. This full‑time, permanent position requires a base in Cornwall with flexible working from the head office and home.


Responsibilities

* Develop and execute a cohesive print and colour strategy that strengthens the brand’s aesthetic and commercial goals.
* Shape seasonal print and colour direction, ensuring designs align with customer expectations, brand evolution, and market trends.
* Curate trend research, inspiration, colour palettes, and competitive analysis to deliver distinctive print concepts.
* Collaborate closely with design managers, the Director of Design, and leadership to set briefs that evolve the brand identity while maintaining consistency and innovation.
* Lead and develop a high‑performing print design team, fostering creativity, technical excellence, strategic thinking, and effective decisionmaking.
* Present print and colour concepts and strategic insights to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with campaign planning, brand vision, and retail performance.
* Oversee the development of bespoke, hand‑rendered, and digital prints, ensuring a sophisticated aesthetic that resonates with the brand’s discerning customer.
* Manage seasonal colour palettes and approve colour and strike‑offs, ensuring consistency across all product categories.
* Research and interpret emerging fashion, art, and cultural influences to create unique print narratives.
* Drive innovation in sustainable print processes, working with suppliers to implement low‑impact techniques and minimise waste.
* Oversee the workload and critical‑path management of the print design team, ensuring a smooth workflow from concept to production and championing cross‑functional collaboration.
* Partner with marketing, buying, merchandising, and visual teams to craft compelling narratives around design concepts.


Qualifications & Skills

* Strong academic background in a creative subject or equivalent professional experience.
* Proven knowledge of design methodologies and fashion industry processes.
* Creative flair for fashion and experience in trend forecasting.
* Knowledge of print repetition and the ability to realise prints into final fabric or product.
* Experience in similar roles such as Print Design Manager, Senior Print Designer, or Print Studio Manager.
* Good commercial understanding and awareness of business priorities.
* Experience in strategic planning, objective setting, and team alignment.
* Solution‑oriented mindset with strong presentation skills.
* Leadership experience in hiring, coaching, and motivating team members to achieve department goals.
* Attention to detail and excellent visual communication skills.
* Proactive growth mindset, continuously developing skills and embracing feedback.
