Support Young People in a Secondary SEN School
Teaching Personnel are recruiting passionate and resilient Teaching Assistants to work within a secondary school in Barry supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students aged 11–16 who require additional support with learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing, within a structured and nurturing school environment.
Your Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students succeed both academically and personally. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 and small group support Supporting students with behaviour and emotional regulation Assisting teachers in delivering adapted, engaging lessons Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment Encouraging confidence, independence, and progress

Patient, empathetic, and resilient Passionate about supporting secondary-aged pupils with SEN Strong communicators who can build positive relationships Proactive and eager to learn Experienced in education, care, or youth work (desirable but not essential)
