About the role
A temporary Service Advisor position is available in Bedford, offering £12.50 to £12.69 per hour on a Monday to Friday daytime schedule. This role would suit an experienced Service Advisor who enjoys working in a customer focused automotive environment and can hit the ground running.
As a Service Advisor, you will act as the key point of contact for service customers, delivering a smooth and professional experience from initial check in through to vehicle collection and follow up. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in customer service, enjoys working closely with technicians, and is confident advising customers on vehicle maintenance and repair work.
Key responsibilities
Greeting customers in the showroom and acting as their main point of contact throughout the service journey.
Booking vehicles in for service, maintenance and repair work while managing appointment schedules effectively.
Liaising closely with vehicle technicians to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Keeping customers informed of repair progress, additional work required and completion times.
Advising customers on safety critical repairs, maintenance requirements and manufacturer recommendations.
Promoting and selling additional work identified through vehicle health checks.
Preparing job cards, invoices and all relevant service documentation accurately.
Managing courtesy car bookings, collections and deliveries where required.
Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction at all times.
Skills and experience required
Previous experience working as a Service Advisor is essential.
Experience using CRM or dealership management systems such as Pinnacle, Kerridge or CDK.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Excellent communication skills with a confident and professional telephone manner.
A positive attitude and strong team player mentality.
Knowledge of the automotive industry or vehicle servicing processes is desirable.
