You will work within the Statutory Reporting team reporting to the Global Statutory Reporting Manager. We work closely with the Controllership, Group Reporting and Consolidation teams and have collaborators within the wider business.
The role
We have a new opportunity for a Statutory Financial Accountant to join our Group Finance team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. The role is based in Manchester and we’re happy to offer hybrid and flexible working options.
Reporting to the Global Statutory Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting an effective and efficient Statutory Reporting process. You’ll partner with collaborators at various levels across a number of locations in our business.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare FRS 101/102 statutory accounts and supporting working papers.
* Work closely with other finance colleagues, Group Secretariat, and the business to achieve high standards in completing subsidiary accounts.
* Build good relationships with our acquired entities and assist them throughout the statutory reporting process.
* Assist with the preparation of central documents that support the statutory accounts.
* Maintain good working relationships with the external auditors to ensure audits are conducted efficiently and effectively.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
* Qualified or Part Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
* Experience of the preparation of financial documents under IFRS and UK Accounting
* Standards including FRS 101 (preferably using OneSource accounts preparation software but not essential).
* Ability to analyse information and understand financial accounting implications for statutory accounts.
