We are seeing enthusiastic, experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistants to work in one of our SEN primary schools in the Swinton area. You will play a paramount role in ensuring that the young people you support receive the best possible care and achieve all their goals. In this rewarding role you will be supporting children with complex needs such as PMLD (Profound and multiple learning difficulties), MLD (Multiple Learning Difficulties), Autism, high anxiety, Sensory challenges and physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored support to students with complex needs in adherence to their EHCP’s
Assist in behaviour management and de-escalation
Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that promotes emotional wellbeing and academic progress
Supervise break and lunch times to ensure that all children are safe and included
Ensure that safeguarding procedures are met and children’s welfare and wellbeing are upheld
Adapt learning materials to make it accessible for all learners
Support pupils both individually and in small group settings
Requirements
Adult and Child DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
Experience Working with children or adults with Complex needs
Safeguarding training (provided by us)
