Team - Actuarial - Health Working Pattern - Hybrid - 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth or London Office. Full time, 37.5 hours per week. We are happy to discuss flexible working! Top 3 skills needed for this role: Advanced analytical and actuarial modelling expertise Strong data manipulation and dashboard‑building skills Effective stakeholder communication skills What this role is all about: As an Actuarial Manager in our Health Actuarial Reporting team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping strategic decisions across Vitality Health. You’ll dive into actuarial experience, emerging trends and the drivers of profitability to uncover insights that truly influence the direction of the business. Working closely with pricing, reporting, and clinical analytics teams, you’ll provide actionable insights into profitability and take ownership of evolving our business planning process to support smarter, data-driven decisions. Key Actions Profitability Analytics: Own and develop the Business planning modelling and projections to support the businesses strategic aims. Use your insight to recommend assumptions to management for use in Business planning and scenario modelling, and drive alignment in understanding between Actuarial, Pricing and Clinical Risk intelligence. Carry out detailed investigations into trends and experience whilst working with peers. Build and manage insightful analytics dashboards to support decision making which is customer focussed and provides early warning indications of trends. Continual enhancement of existing processes and insights in a well-controlled environment. Ensure strong governance is implemented throughout all processes in the team. Fair Value insights, assessment and monitoring: Use complex data extraction skills to build data sets to drive detailed discussions of, and insights in to, fair value. Support management and the Executive to fully understand how products are delivering fair value outcomes by providing insightful input and commentary on Fair Value assessments and monitoring. Champion the management and enhancement of products for in-force customers, ensuring access to product services, features and flexibility to meet their needs and long-term continued value. Drive the production and delivery of more frequent fair value monitoring and reporting, effectively communicating areas of risk to stakeholders. What do you need to thrive? Associate or Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or equivalent MS Office skills: Excel advanced, Word/PowerPoint intermediate. Detailed SQL, Power BI, and other dashboard building skills to support the insights of senior managers in the business. Confident and competent interaction with stakeholders across the business.
