About The Role
RAC has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our Roadside Operations Finance team, supporting performance across a critical area of the business. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced environment, where you’ll deliver high‑quality reporting and insight to support operational and commercial decision‑making. Working closely with Finance Business Partners and the wider Operations team, you’ll play a key role in driving cost control, improving data quality, and enhancing reporting processes. This isn’t just a reporting role, it’s an opportunity to improve how finance supports the business through automation, simplification, and better insight. What You’ll Do
Process Improvement & Delivery
* Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and efficiency
* Support automation and simplification of existing reporting
* Enhance data quality and consistency across outputs
Financial Reporting & Control
* Prepare and deliver accurate reporting across Roadside costs and KPIs
* Support month‑end close activities, including reconciliations and controls
* Ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with governance standards
Planning, Analysis & Insight
* Analyse cost performance and key operational drivers
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
* Produce clear, data‑driven insights to support decision‑making
Business Partnering & Collaboration
* Support Finance Business Partners with analysis and reporting
* Build effective working relationships with operational stakeholders
* Present financial information in a clear and concise manner
What You’ll Bring
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis
* Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx)
* Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, and processes
* Experience in a fast‑paced finance environment
* Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively

* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain financial data clearly
* Commercial awareness and interest in operational performance
* Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
* Proactive, organised, and focused on continuous improvement
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a finance function in a fast‑paced environment
* Actively studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (desirable but not essential)

This role follows a hybrid model, with required office attendance in our Bescot, Walsall office 2 days per week. Salary aligned with market and experience.
