Night Staff Support Practitioner – St Andrews
Part‑time (18 hours) – Earn up to £26,526.23 per year pro rata.
Role Overview
Provide day‑to‑day support to 20 people in their own flats, ensuring personal care, medication administration, cleaning, laundry, fire‑watch duties, and use of assistive technology. The service is located a 5‑minute walk from St Andrews bus station, with regular buses to Fife, Dundee and surrounding areas. Shadowed into nights with established staff; undergo full training.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with colleagues as part of an effective, efficient team to support vulnerable people.
* Communicate with supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
* Support individuals during activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.
* Update and maintain accurate records using a tablet on Ark's Information Management system.
* Complete checks, assistive‑technology tasks, cleaning, laundry, fire‑watch duties, and medication administration.
* Assume general support worker responsibilities as outlined in the job outline.
Qualifications
* No previous experience required – full training provided.
* Willingness to undergo training and obtain SVQ2 in Health & Social Care (funded by Ark).
