Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to take your first steps in the classroom? Whether you're newly qualified or part-way through your induction, Castle Education can offer you flexible, local opportunities in Scarborough and the surrounding area to help you grow and thrive as a teacher.
We work closely with a wide network of welcoming primary and secondary schools who regularly need enthusiastic and adaptable teachers to cover short-term absence, PPA, training, and longer-term placements.
This is a brilliant way to gain hands-on experience in a variety of school settings while developing your skills, building your confidence, and making a real difference — all at your own pace.
What the role involves:
* Delivering high-quality lessons using pre-set plans (or your own where needed)
* Supporting pupils of all abilities and helping them stay on track
* Adapting quickly to new classrooms and school environments
* Gaining valuable experience that supports your ECT induction
We’re looking for:
* ECTs or recently qualified teachers with QTS
* Individuals who are confident, enthusiastic and eager to learn
* Someone who is happy to work flexibly and build experience in a range of schools
* A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
