Job Title: Contract Manager
Location: Sittingbourne
Salary: £65,000
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (flexibility required)
About the Role
Alice Rose is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join a leading engineering services provider based in Sittingbourne.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of maintenance operations, leading a team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services in line with contractual and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage all maintenance operations across the site
* Establish and manage the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system
* Lead, manage, and develop a team (including appraisals and performance monitoring)
* Allocate workload, schedule tasks, and manage day-to-day activities
* Act as the main point of contact for client and team escalations
* Manage budgets, including revenue and capital expenditure
* Oversee procurement and project works
* Ensure all technical aspects of the contract meet client requirements
* Monitor and report on KPIs, driving continuous improvement
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and ISO standards
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Contract Manager or similar role within building maintenance / FM
* Strong leadership and team management experience
* Hands-on technical background (mechanical and/or electrical)
* Good understanding of PPM systems and maintenance operations
* Strong commercial awareness and basic financial knowledge
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Solid IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Desirable
* Experience with CAFM/PPM systems (e.g. Concept 300 / FSI Go)
* Relevant technical qualifications (Electrical or Mechanical NVQ / Apprenticeship)
* IOSH or Health & Safety certification
* Degree in Building Services or Engineering
