We're now recruiting for a Assistant Yard Team Leader to join us at our Burton on Trent site on a permanent basis.

What's the mission?
The Assistant Yard Team Leader supports the Yard Team Leader in coordinating daily manufacturing yard operations, ensuring materials, products, and equipment are handled safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include supervising yard operatives, prioritising work in line with production schedules, managing the movement and storage of raw materials and finished goods, and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
The role also involves monitoring stock accuracy, supporting loading and despatch activities, assisting with training and performance of team members, and acting as a point of contact in the Yard Team Leader's absence to ensure continuity of operations.
Working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Your shift patterns will be 7am -4pm (Week 1) and 8am-5pm (Week 2)
What are the mission-critical skills?
* Experiencing of working in areas where Workplace transport health and safety is practiced
* Experience of operating in a small/medium manufacturing operation
* Team player with attention to detail
* Good level of English, oral and written
* IOSH qualification is desirable
* Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is advantageous
* Forward thinking individual continually looking at improving processes
* Knowledge of SAP is advantageous
