Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support several of our specialist education partners in the Worcester (WR5) area.
About the Role
You will be providing classroom support for a range of children between 4-19 years old, with SEND difficulties (mild to severe), such as: Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH) & SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). Alongside working with the class teachers and support staff, you should be adaptable and supportive with a range of learning styles.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalised one‑to‑one and small‑group support
Adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs
Follow EHCPs and support plans to promote steady progress
Support communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and behaviour
Use visual supports, sensory tools, and alternative communication systems
Monitor and record pupil progress, sharing insights with staff
Contribute to a calm, nurturing classroom environment
Support pupils during transitions, break times, and off‑site activities
Encourage independence, resilience, and confidence
