Rikama Education are working with a SEN School in Broadstairs who are looking for Healthcare Assistant or carer of children with special needs. Working on shift basis supporting SEN Students within a school environment, we are interested in Healthcare assistants, carers of children or someone with supporting young people with difficulties with behaviour or complex needs. Skills Required • To receive students who are ill into the welfare room and carry out an initial first aid check and ensure appropriate care and administer first aid. • Attend to the students who are feeling unwell or are injured. • Day to day care of pupils for injuries, illness, and pupils with serious medical conditions. • Administer first aid to students and staff within the competencies of the First Aid Certification to be held by the post holder. • To decide whether students will need further medical attention and take appropriate action. • Attend emergency medical incidents wherever they occur in the School and undertake whatever action necessary to stabilize and assist the casualty, which may include calling the emergency services. Administration of Medication • To administer the distribution of prescription drugs. • Dispensing prescribed medication to students Should you be accepted for this post, you will be rewarded by: • A Dedicated Consultant • Training • A long-term contract with the potential to go permanent at this school • Excellent rates of pay • A potential permanent post after the initial period. If you were successful, you would work 20 weeks via Rikama Education. Following this initial period, yourself and the school will be able to discuss the opportunity to become a permanent employee at the school.
