Are you ready to join the Fearless?
We are seeking a Maintenance Shift Manager based in our state-of-the-art 2.5 million square foot Distribution Centre in Shirebrook, one of the most advanced warehouses in the UK, over 30 football pitches in size. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated candidates who value responsibility and accountability during a period of cultural change and growth, aligned with Frasers Group values.
You will lead the Engineering Team, minimizing downtime and ensuring uptime of automated equipment during your shift. Your technical leadership and commitment to service quality will support proactive performance and reliability improvements. Expect to spend 50% of your time leading and 50% engaged in hands-on maintenance activities.
* Manage and coordinate shift team activities through effective planning and organization.
* Train, coach, and mentor your team.
* Conduct performance reviews.
* Analyze data to improve performance and maximize efficiency in line with KPIs.
* Champion safe working practices.
* Perform maintenance and servicing of automated equipment.
* Carry out repairs and reactive maintenance on conveyors, sorters, shuttles, and robotics.
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
* Respond promptly to faults and breakdowns to minimize downtime.
* Optimize automation performance.
* Complete reports using CMMS and Microsoft tools.
* Support service tracking and error analysis, contributing to corrective actions.
* Ensure health and safety compliance, oversee hazardous tasks and PTW.
* Lead shift handovers and participate in site meetings.
* Maintain communication with Automation Manager and Head of Automation.
Qualifications:
* Leadership experience in automation.
* Relevant engineering qualification.
* Continuous improvement mindset.
* Strong communication skills, able to relate to technical and non-technical staff.
* Inspirational leader capable of coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
