Spire Cambridge Lea is seeking an experienced engineer assistant/handyman to join their fantastic team on a bank basis. The successful applicant will work as part of the engineering team providing a comprehensive and cost-effective engineering service within the hospital. Maintaining a safe environment for all staff and customers.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. To provide & support in-house building maintenance duties
2. To undertake decoration works & repairs to a high standard and in a timely manner
3. To provide purchasing assistance for required tools & materials
4. To identify areas of decoration requirements and communicate these findings to management
5. To assist other engineers
6. To complete on-line mandatory training
7. To work safely and keep work areas safe for others
Who we're looking for:
8. Experienced in painting and decorating
9. Experienced in general maintenance activities
10. Able to prioritise workload
11. Able to use a computer for on-line training, communication & work sign off
12. Good interpersonal and communication skills
13. Good literacy and numerate skills
14. Results driven, high levels of determination and initiative
15. Due to the unpredictability and nature of the function, the post holder will on occasion, be required to work outside of normal working hours
Contract type: Bank/Ad-hoc to cover Annual Leave and Sickness
