Key Responsibilities: Salary: £36,576 - £38,500 Fixed-Term (12 months) – Full-time (36.5 hours/week) Option to extend Travel: Regular UK travel occasional overseas trips As Emerging Gen Lead, you will drive World Vision UK’s mission to inspire and mobilise the next generation of Christians towards justice, generosity, and global mission. Reporting to the Director of Ministry Development, you will lead our engagement with youth, student, and young adult audiences (ages 13–25), creating bold, innovative pathways for them to connect their faith with action for the world’s most vulnerable children. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery. You will design and implement initiatives that position World Vision as the charity of choice for young Christians passionate about making a difference. Through powerful storytelling, authentic relationships, and creative programming, you will grow income, deepen spiritual impact, and embed Gen Z relevance within our Christian engagement strategy. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Fundraising & Marketing team, you will integrate next-gen approaches into campaigns and supporter journeys, ensuring that World Vision UK remains culturally relevant, spiritually resonant, and future-ready. This role requires exceptional relational skills, theological depth, and entrepreneurial energy to engage churches, networks, and emerging leaders at scale. Leading Next-Gen Engagement for Christian Mission and Justice Design and deliver bold, creative initiatives that inspire and equip young Design, develop, and deliver innovative programmes, campaigns, and resources that equip young Christians to integrate faith, justice, and generosity into their lives. Lead the 40 Hour Challenge growth strategy, driving participation from an additional 50–70 churches or youth groups each year through targeted outreach, relationship management, and integrated promotion. Champion World Vision’s presence within Gen Z audiences across churches, student movements, digital platforms, and Christian festivals, ensuring the next generation is deeply connected to our cause. Identify and develop partnerships with youth organisations, networks, and movements to amplify reach and impact. Create culturally relevant, spiritually rich experiences and events that inspire action and cultivate long-term supporter relationships. Monitor emerging trends in youth culture, digital engagement, and faith practice to inform strategy and maintain relevance. Inspiring and Activating Young Supporters Build a movement of young advocates and supporters who pray, give, speak out, and act for children living in the world’s toughest places. Develop relational pathways and supporter journeys that deepen commitment, grow income, and sustain long-term engagement. Equip youth leaders, churches, and partner organisations with tools, resources, and stories that empower them to catalyse engagement within their communities. Use innovative, personal approaches to nurture individual connections and inspire deeper ownership of World Vision’s mission Speaking, Storytelling and Representation Serve as a confident, inspiring ambassador for World Vision UK at youth gatherings, church services, conferences, and festivals, both online and in person. Deliver dynamic talks, workshops, and activations that connect faith with action, demonstrating theological depth and cultural fluency. Represent World Vision publicly up to 18 Sundays per year, bringing fresh, Gen Z-focused energy to our external voice. Build and maintain a personal profile as a credible, trusted voice within the UK Christian youth landscape Strategic Contribution and Cross-Team Collaboration Contribute generational insights, cultural trends, and innovative thinking to shape World Vision UK’s long-term Christian engagement strategy. Collaborate across Fundraising, and Advocacy teams to embed next gen perspectives into broader campaigns, resources, and initiatives. Evaluate programme and campaign effectiveness using data, feedback, and field stories to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
