Senior Quantity Surveyor – Edinburgh Tier 1 Main Contractor | Major Projects | Long-Term Pipeline I’m currently supporting one of Scotland’s leading Tier 1 contractors in the appointment of a Senior Quantity Surveyor, based in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong reputation, a secure forward order book, and a varied portfolio of high-profile projects across Scotland. The Project Portfolio You’ll be involved in the commercial delivery of a diverse range of live and upcoming projects, including: * £45m major refurbishment & fit-out project (Edinburgh city centre) * £20m warehousing / industrial development * £65m new-build education facility The Role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with site teams, commercial managers and key stakeholders. Responsibilities will include: * Full commercial management of live projects * Procurement and management of subcontract packages * Valuations, CVRs, forecasting and reporting * Managing variations and change control * Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff * Working collaboratively with project and delivery teams to protect commercial outcomes About You * Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment * Experience delivering large-scale new build, refurbishment or fit-out projects * Strong understanding of commercial processes, cost control and subcontract management * Confident communicator, comfortable working with internal teams and external stakeholders * Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) What’s on Offer * Competitive salary and package * Car allowance / company car * Well-structured commercial team and support * Long-term project pipeline and job security * Clear progression opportunities within a Tier 1 business * Edinburgh-based role with major local projects Interested?
