A specialist secondary SEN school in Bolton is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team. This role involves teaching pupils aged 11-19 with a wide range of complex needs, including profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism, sensory impairments, and medical needs. The Role: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs Use a range of strategies including sensory-based learning, Makaton, PECS, and assistive technology Lead a class with the support of experienced teaching assistants Work closely with therapists, SENCOs, and families to ensure a holistic approach to pupil development Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that supports both learning and personal development Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Previous experience teaching in a special school setting
* Proven experience working with pupils with complex needs and/or PMLD
* Strong knowledge of differentiated teaching approaches and communication strategies
* Excellent behaviour management, patience, and empathy
