Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various care settings. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health conditions, and foster a supportive environment for residents. Responsibilities
* Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
* Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to the nursing staff
* Provide personal care and support for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
* Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and ensuring hygiene standards are met
* Assist with medication administration as per care plans and under supervision
* Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
* Support individuals with developmental disabilities through direct support and tailored care plans
Requirements
* Previous experience in senior care, home health, or long-term care setting
* Familiarity with patient observation techniques and vital sign monitoring
* Experience working with individuals with disabilities
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
* Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
