Our client is redefining how global commodity trade moves worldwide - empowering the people behind $14 trillion worth of goods to make faster, smarter decisions. From rerouting ships in real time to cutting emissions across oceans, their AI‑powered platform brings clarity and control to the world’s most critical infrastructure. Whether it’s fuel powering cities, grain feeding nations, or medical supplies stopping pandemics, they help ensure the right supplies get to the right place worldwide - on time, efficiently, and sustainably.
Role Overview:
You’ll join as a Senior Frontend Engineer, building the real-time interfaces used by decision-makers orchestrating trillions in global commodities trade. From rerouting vessels to avoid conflict zones to managing the flow of food, energy, and raw materials between continents, the software you build will have a direct impact on the world’s most critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build high‑performance, data‑intensive React applications that power real‑time decisions across global trade.
* Translate massive, complex datasets into clear, actionable interfaces used by operators moving billions in commodities daily.
* Own features end‑to‑end - from exploration and prototyping to deployment, optimisation, and continuous refinement.
* Collaborate with backend, ML, and data teams to deliver fast, reliable, and deeply observable user experiences at scale.
* Evolve frontend architecture and component systems to ensure consistency, resilience, and long‑term maintainability.
Qualifications:
* Proven track record building complex, production-grade web apps with React and TypeScript, optimised for performance and clarity.
* Deep understanding of modern frontend architecture - component-based design, state management, testing, and tooling.
* Strong product intuition with an ability to turn complex user needs into clean, intuitive interfaces.
* Experience integrating with real-time APIs, large data sets, and data visualisation frameworks.
* Familiarity with backend systems, RESTful APIs, and collaboration with cross-functional teams (backend, ML, DevOps).
If you’re excited by the idea of building the frontend for systems that help reroute ships, optimise global fuel usage, and prevent supply shortages across billions of dollars in cargo - all while reducing emissions in one of the world’s most critical (and carbon-intensive) industries - we’d love to hear from you.
