We are seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse (RGN) to lead our on-site Health Service. This vital role supports the wellbeing of students through expert clinical care, health education, and pastoral support. From managing care plans and supporting mental health to promoting healthy lifestyles, you will play a central part in our inclusive and nurturing school community. Line Management Responsibility
This role will have no line management responsibility but is supported by the Inclusion Administration Team and First Aiders. The role will report to the Inclusion Strategy Lead.
Qualifications, Training And Experience
* Up-to-date registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
* Completion of the appropriate number of relevant study days for NMC revalidation.
* Ability to stay up to date with new techniques in identified specialist areas.
* Experience in writing clear health plans, incident reports, and policy documents.
* Appreciation of children’s specific needs and a desire to play an active role within the life of the School.
* Knowledge of or experience with children’s and young people’s mental health issues.
* Experience of working as a nurse in the education sector, or a willingness to learn about the sector.
* Recent safeguarding training to Level 3, or willingness to undertake the required training.
* First Aid at Work Certificate, or willingness to complete this training.
* Experience using ISAMS or similar data management programmes.
