Machine Technician
Shift Basis (Rotating Days & Nights, 12-hour shifts)
Starting Salary from £32,500 - £35,500, dependent on experience, plus benefits, progression opportunities, and regular salary reviews.

We currently have an opportunity within our Machine Technician team at our Golborne plant (WA3), working on Stretch Blow Moulding machinery and equipment.
Purpose of Job / Mission
To ensure moulding machines operate according to the specifications set by the Technician Department, producing containers that meet customer specifications, while minimizing downtime and scrap levels.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Ensure moulding machines and ancillary equipment are in good working order, report defects, and carry out remedial work within your competence.
* Regularly check product quality at the packing station, including visual inspection, weight, and filling out relevant paperwork.
* Perform adjustments on moulding machines, including work on heads, tooling, blowpins, blades, and ancillary equipment, within your competence.
* Maintain constant raw material supplies by changing over bins and report any issues with bins to supervision.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the work area.
Skills & Experience
* Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Mechanical or Electrical engineering experience; relevant qualifications preferred.
* Previous experience operating/running machinery; training on specific ALPLA machinery will be provided.
* Experience with plastic manufacturing processes is advantageous but not essential.
* Good communication skills.
