Purpose
As a Waste Water Process Technical Director, you will lead business development and process engineering for transformational programmes. You will play a strategic industry‑leading role, bringing people together to deliver innovative and viable solutions to complex challenges across critical infrastructure projects at home and abroad.
Responsibilities
* Be accountable for technical delivery and safety, ensuring high‑quality levels across multiple projects and programmes, and act as a point of escalation for complex technical matters.
* Set the technical strategic direction for projects and bid proposals, acting as a subject‑matter expert.
* Lead an agenda of technical excellence and continuous improvement, whilst being accountable for quality assurance standards in design.
* Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
* Grow, develop and manage the waste water process engineering capability within the practice, bringing pioneering innovation, contributing to advances in knowledge and inspiring others.
* Act as a strategic partner for our clients, becoming the go‑to person within your technical field.
What You Can Bring
* Chartered Chemical / Process Engineer.
* Influential and esteemed leadership, internally and externally.
* Multi‑disciplinary integration and coordination experience.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of innovation and treatment technologies, market deployment, capital and operational cost assessment, GHG reduction techniques and whole‑life carbon assessments, and knowledge of UK environmental and CDM regulations.
* Nationally or internationally recognised subject‑matter expertise in your discipline(s), e.g. P removal (EBRP, Chemical, Novel Solutions), emerging contaminants treatment, biosolids treatment.
* Commissioning experience.
* A strategic and transformational mindset.
