Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Haematologist with an interest in lymphoma and General Haematology to join the team at Withybush General Hospital. With a newly developed job plan for this position, offering a dynamic and rewarding role, we welcome all applicants to apply. We are looking for a highly committed and motivated individual to join our Haematology team as we start to introduce subspecialisation into the Health Board. Our dedicated and forward‑looking team of 7 consultants provides a comprehensive haematology service across four hospitals in a region of outstanding beauty. This post will introduce a Lymphoma subspecialty to the team as part of a redesign of haematology services across the Health Board and will continue to develop as part of the wider transformation process.
Support for the post includes Associate Specialists, Specialty Doctors, Clinical Fellows, and foundation Trainees. The team also includes a Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist team and Specialist pharmacists.

Clinical Responsibilities
* Demonstrate experience in the management of Lymphoma and General Haematology, developing the subspecialty across the Health Board while working alongside generalist consultants.
* Participate in an attending and on‑call rota for the Haverfordwest site; at the three peripheral sites, provide consultative input to the local medical team.
* Attend 3–4 clinics per week within Lymphoma and General Haematology; additional subspecialty workload may be considered depending on experience.
* Participate in a weekly health‑board‑wide MDT and join other MDTs throughout Wales.
* Contribute to all aspects of general haematology and haemo‑oncology work, including departmental meetings and on‑call rota.
* Provide 10 sessions with 20% non‑clinical work (SPA) per week within the job plan.
* Conduct clinics at other hospital sites; virtual clinics are an option.
* Help develop the rural service to ensure excellent patient care.
Qualifications
* GMC registered on the specialist register or expected to obtain CCT within 6 months.
