Job Summary

We are looking for someone to join our growing Company as it expands in the hospitality sector. Develop our amazing customer base here at the Market Inn. Our executive chef will be assisting in the early day to help ease our new head chef into their role with us, aiding in kitchen organisation, health and food safety standards, menu design and general kitchen maintenance to help start quickly.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef. The ideal candidate will possess strong hospitality skills, a deep understanding of food production, and be adaptable in this new role at our pub. As the Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation meets our high standards of quality and safety.

Duties

* Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
* Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes served.
* Develop and implement menus that reflect current culinary trends while adhering to budgetary constraints.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and safety practices.
* Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements where necessary to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
