We’re working with a leading client in the defence sector who is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join their team in Luton on a twelve-month contract.

On-Site Requirement: 4 days per week
NOTE: Valid SC Clearance is required
This position focuses on supporting the development of Defensive Aids Systems, offering an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology within the Electronic Warfare (EW) domain.
As part of this team, you’ll collaborate with subject matter experts across various technology and product areas, gaining exposure to some of the most advanced systems in the field.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage with stakeholders to define system change requirements.
* Conduct cost and performance trade-offs and evaluate proposed solutions.
* Design and integrate new functionality into existing systems.
* Create Test Plans and Verification & Validation requirements for sub-systems.
* Develop Integration Plans for unit and full system integration.
* Manage documentation to support design reviews and engineering governance activities.
About You
You’ll bring strong systems engineering expertise and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset. You should have:
* Solid understanding of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle, including:
* Problem Definition
* Systems Architecture
* Integration, Verification & Validation
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions.
* Experience with Product Data Management and Change Management tools such as Teamcenter, SharePoint, or Confluence.
* Valid SC Clearance is required
