What to Expect in the Role: The Council is looking to recruit a and technically skilled accountant to work within our Finance Team. In this role you will support with local government reorganisation, which will include leading on Treasury Management and Systems Accounting. The successful candidate will have an excellent technical ability and be up to date with latest best practice and guidance. You will be a team player, who can quickly build strong relationships with the team and officers and will thrive on working collaboratively to achieve outcomes for the Council. A flexible approach and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities is essential, as is the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision. You will have excellent organisational skills and be used to prioritising and scheduling your own workload to ensure work is completed. This will be particularly important during times when there may be conflicting deadlines. To lead on systems accounting and treasury management. Maintain financial systems, feeders and interfaces. Identify and correct issues when arising. Maintain The Chart of Accounts and amend for restructures and accounting code changes.
