COFFEE SHOP TEAM MEMBER (part-time)
Responsible to: Coffee Shop Manager
Contract type: Part-time, permanent (16 hours)
Salary band: £12.00 per hour
Location: Aberdeen Union Street

About the role
Social Bite is a coffee shop with a difference. Every day we provide free food to over 150 people affected by homelessness in Edinburgh. We work to end isolation and exclusion by helping people to overcome barriers and form lasting relationships.

What we're looking for:
We're looking for someone with experience in restaurants or cafés who shares our passion for creating a welcoming space and making a difference. As part of our collaborative movement to end homelessness, you'll bring enthusiasm, teamwork, and a positive attitude to every shift.
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
* Excellent communication skills – you enjoy engaging with people from all walks of life
* Knowledge of food hygiene & allergen safety (training provided)
* The ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
* A proactive, can-do attitude and a passion for great coffee and service
* A team-focused mindset, working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
* Confidence in recommending products to enhance the customer experience.
