Job description
Job Purpose
1. To support the NEC Project Manager in delivering on a major project.
2. To support the Commercial Manager in reporting commercial matters and the Contractor's performance to the Project Manager.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
3. Support the Commercial Manager for attendance at monthly Commercial Meetings, Risk Reduction Meetings. Pre-Certification Meetings with the Contractor and other directly employed contractors. Attend such meetings where delegated by the Commercial Manager.
4. Support the Commercial Manager in assessing the Contractor's monthly Applications and preparation od Payment Notices.
5. Support the Commercial Manager in the assessment of Compensation Events and liaise with the Programme Planner and wider team as necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
6. BSc or similar in Quantity Surveying
7. Graduate Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (or similar).
8. 5 years minimum work experience within the Highways sector.
This vacancy requires the ideal candidate to be based locally to the site or willing to travel a minimum of 4 days a week. The agreement is for a maximum of 1 day a week from home.
