HWRC Weekend Site Operative Salary - £25854 - £27269 (Grade 4) Hours - 16 hours per week, across Saturday and Sunday. Contract type - Part time, permanent Are you a hardworking individual who's looking to work in a dynamic environment? We are seeking a dedicated a Weekend Site Operative to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining the safe, efficient, and effective operation of our Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) sites. Role Responsibilites: Ensure the smooth running of the HWRC site, completing assigned duties that support safety and efficiency. Step into a leadership role as the site's responsible person in the absence of the HWRC Manager/Supervisor. If qualified, operate non-HGV mobile plant and vehicles to meet the high standards laid out in work directives and schedules. Safely drive and handle equipment, adhering to legal and council guidelines, ensuring compliance with all operational requirements. Be the friendly face of the Council by assisting customers and resolving any issues they may encounter while using our services. Role Requirements: Previous experience of working in a HWRC or waste environment. Someone with a positive attitude who enjoys working outdoors and is ready to step up when needed. Ideally, experience or qualifications to operate non-HGV mobile plant and vehicles. Strong communication skills and the ability to represent the Council in a professional manner, helping customers with their needs.
