Overview
Role Description: We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join and develop our Structures, Geotechnical and GIS team as Associate Technical Director in Scotland. In this role, you will lead our team through innovative projects focused on geotechnical work across the world, providing technical leadership and delivering high-quality solutions with a global impact.
You will report to the Technical Director and lead engineering teams to meet client expectations across multi-disciplinary projects. Our client list includes Transport Scotland, National Highways, HS2, and International Governments.
Role Accountabilities
* Technical Leadership: Technically lead and coordinate complex multi-disciplinary projects and programmes of work throughout the design life cycle.
* Lead and Mentor: Provide line management, guidance and proactively develop multidisciplinary teams, promoting safety, quality, sustainability, collaboration and innovation.
* Project Oversight: Ensure successful delivery by setting clear goals, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and identifying resourcing needs.
* Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met or exceeded.
* Innovative Solutions: Champion sustainable and forward-thinking engineering solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
* Extensive expertise in geotechnical engineering, with experience in both new build and asset management projects.
* Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent), with a degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
* Proven experience in leading complex engineering projects with a focus on quality, safety and sustainability.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage client and team relationships.
* Excellent people management skills to align resources with workload demands.
