About the role
Seeking a hands‑on, dynamic and people‑centric professional to provide safety, health and support alongside an experienced SHE Manager (also based on site). This position is perfect for an experienced Health Safety and Environment coordinator/officer/advisor who can hit the ground running for this large and well‑established, 24/7 manufacturing site.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the SHE Manager in all aspects of health, safety and environment across site, and cover for the Manager when required.
- Serve as a valued member of the HSE team, visible and approachable across the site, bringing innovative and forward‑thinking ideas to the table.
- Establish trusted relationships with the community and external stakeholders.
- Support incident investigations & reporting, helping to provide root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Enhance current levels of compliance by maintaining the factory SHE Management systems, including ISO14001, ISO50001 and ISO45001 certification, with a focus on Safety and Health compliance and proactive management.
- Collaborate across departments, working closely with different teams to ensure compliance and highlight areas of improvement to enhance SHE across the site.
- Implement and develop site initiatives that lead to continuous improvement in SHE performance.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Health and Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH Level 3).
- General engineering or manufacturing experience, preferably in a fast‑paced manufacturing or logistics environment, high‑risk industries included (FMCG such as food, drink, paper, packaging, tobacco, dairy, etc.).
