Our client, a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Nottingham, is looking to appoint an Audit Assistant Manager to join their growing Audit & Assurance team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a varied client portfolio while developing your leadership and technical expertise within a supportive and progressive environment.
The Role
As Audit Assistant Manager, you will support the delivery of audit engagements for a broad range of clients, working closely with Managers and Partners while overseeing and developing junior team members.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
* Leading fieldwork and acting as the main point of contact for clients during engagements.
* Reviewing the work of Audit Seniors and Trainees, providing guidance and support.
* Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and audit documentation.
* Identifying risks and delivering practical recommendations to clients.
* Managing budgets, timelines and resource allocation across multiple assignments.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Assisting with the development and training of junior staff.
The successful candidate will have:
* ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
* Previous experience within an external audit role in practice.
* Strong knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards.
* Experience supervising, coaching and reviewing junior staff.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
