Part-Time
No On Call
*Training Provided*
DaVita Kidney Care is bringing our industry-leading clinical quality to patients on-site at skilled nursing facilities (SNF) through a new team called DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services.
Approximately 10% of all dialysis patients reside in a SNF and are transported to dialysis three times a week, placing a significant burden on patients and adding avoidable costs to the healthcare system. DSD Services teammates will have access to all the capabilities and resources DaVita offers and will work to develop the infrastructure and grow this new service line rapidly.
Ideal teammates will have dialysis experience, enjoy a start-up environment, and have a track record of getting things done (GSD). They must be comfortable working autonomously and collaborating across organization functions.
What you can expect:
In this role, you will be responsible for the ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track. DSD RNs troubleshoot and make decisions related to dialysis treatment and may partner with SNF staff to coordinate care.
Primary work schedule will be 3 days a week, with occasional Saturday work. No on-call required.
Your impact on patients and their families will be felt daily.
Patient Education
As a nurse, you are an educator. You will have the opportunity to conduct impactful education sessions for patients and families in the SNF setting.
Direct Patient Care
The primary responsibility is to demonstrate best practice techniques and deliver optimal dialysis care, supervising Dialysis Technicians to meet capacity and efficiency goals.
Complexity
DSD dialysis care is complex but fulfilling. Meeting or exceeding clinical outcomes is the goal, and multitasking is essential to meet the needs of patients and partners.
Autonomy and Critical Thinking
You will provide comprehensive care independently, constantly assessing, diagnosing, and planning care based on the whole patient. The role requires constant mental engagement and the satisfaction of witnessing your care's impact.
