Legacie are currently recruiting for an experienced income Officer to join a growing team within the business.
This role will sit within Legacie Management & Lettings, part of the Legacie group of companies. Legacie prides itself on providing development opportunities for investors, where we provide an end-to-end service, covering the physical construction of the development through to the finding and managing of tenants within the properties.
Legacie is continuing to experience rapid growth and as a result we are pleased to be able to offer this role which will form part of our continued expansion plans.
This role is an integral one within the company and the income officer will be responsible for ensuring we maximise the collection of all rental and utilities along with other fees and charges due to the company, whilst proactively pursuing any outstanding income recovery.
* Working proactively to maximise income recovery, through a preventative approach, and seeking to minimise rent, service charge, ground rent and other fee related debt
* Regularly reviewing all income accounts
* Contacting customers by telephone and through our digital platforms
* Discussing repayment options and make, sustainable arrangements
* Achieve business targets in relation to collection, debt prevention
* Managing the collection of charges for communal heating systems
* Ensuring that processes, policies, and procedures are adhered to and to contribute to any reviews of policy and practice.
* Providing regular performance reports to management
* Dealing and responding to queries raised
* Other ad-hoc duties as required
We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
* Strong experience of collections
* An individual who is resilient, well organised, and able to handle both challenging and sensitive conversations with customers.
* Experience within the lettings business is a necessity – experience of issuing legal notices and possession orders is advantageous
* Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
* Exceptional time management and organisation skills
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
* The ability to manage their own workload
* A team-player prepared to go the extra mile
