Key Attributes

Role & Responsibilities:
* Manage the department as outlined in the HOD Managers manual
* Oversee daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning of all rooms, corridors, guest lounges, washrooms, restaurant areas, and all public spaces
* Ensure periodic deep cleaning of hotel areas
* Conduct quarterly health & safety checks to meet legislation
* Perform monthly and weekly stock counts and reorder supplies as per policy
* Carry out monthly room audits with support from the Front of House Manager
* Attend weekly meetings as required
* Plan, organize, and direct team members to ensure guest satisfaction
* Supervise housekeeping staff daily, including room attendants, public areas, turndown, and laundry teams
* Purchase, reorder, and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory
* Conduct pre-arrival inspections of rooms
* Recruit and train new housekeeping staff
* Maintain the housekeeping budget through resource control
* Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct
* Ensure compliance with COSHH and safety standards
* Maintain all equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements with maintenance
* Foster good communication and relationships with other departments
* Understand responsibilities regarding fire procedures, health and safety, COSHH, infection control, and emergency aid
