The Role We're offering the opportunity to join our Quality Assurance team to someone who takes pride in their work and is meticulous about delivering a safe, traceable, and consistently high standard of food production with integrity for our clients and consumers. Governed by many regulations and food production standards, it is important this role makes the complicated seem straight forward, influences and trains others to meet the same high standards and takes ownership of their part of the wider Quality Assurance function. The role will initially be on a 1 year fixed-term basis with the possibility of a permanent position following your successful integration in the company and contribution to its continuous development. You will be exposed to the Brioche manufacturing processes and understand QA's involvement in ensuring compliance through your participation in: • The organisation of our raw materials, associated issues and solutions, eventually establishing a system to centralise all documentation and better manage risk. • Managing calibration processes and the traceability of our raw materials. • Supporting the development of our product range by creating and updating client specifications to ensure site compliance. • Administering staff training on QA topics, both for existing team members and new joiners. • Performing other daily security tasks necessary to maintain food safety and quality standards in an industrial bakery setting. About You You must be able to demonstrate: • Familiarity with HACCP, GMP and food safety regulations, with a curiosity to understand their application to a production line process. • The ability to deliver job training to others on food safety and hygiene standards. • Coordination skills to link with other key stakeholders on various topics to ensure a compliant result. • Drive to improve the food safety culture on the site. • The ability to support with managing, hosting and driving corrective action plans in relation to all 3rd party audit on the site. • Strong problem solving, communication and solutions orientated skills to deliver results in a timely manner. • Self-motivation and being keen to develop, with a willingness and desire to learn and improve. • Ability to propose plans, prepare, and prioritise actions effectively to improve food safety and hygiene of the site based on analytical and observational data. • Computer literate. You may be able to demonstrate: • Previous experience working in an FMCG environment. Your qualifications • Food Hygiene / safety education-based background or equivalent experience of working in a food hygiene environment, preferably manufacturing FMCG. Your Key Qualities • Articulate in verbal and written communication appropriate to your audience. • Able to actively listen and draw conclusions from discussions. • Able to see the detail and present the root cause of problems, errors, process breakdown. • Resilient and self-assured when faced with challenging people and problems. • Analytical of process and people to drive workable solutions, comparisons, and quality data. • Enjoys working autonomously with initiative driving results to enhance the product and brand. • A completer / finisher to gain full compliance across multiple function to produce a safe product. Location: Milton Keynes Salary: £27,400 per annum Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday 08:30-17:30. However, operational needs may require some flexibility. Benefits: Bonus - Up to 6% per annum, Life Assurance - Up to 4 x annual salary beneficiary payment, Company Pension available with your contribution at 3% and our contribution at 7% (all subject to length of service but available throughout 1st year of service).
