Milk Education is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring educator to teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their scientific knowledge, curiosity, and understanding of the world around them.
This full-time role is available for an immediate start or from September 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons that inspire curiosity and a passion for learning
2. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student achievement
3. Assess, monitor, and track student progress, adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs
4. Teach a broad Science curriculum across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3 and KS4
5. Promote practical scientific investigation and develop students’ analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Ensure all practical activities are carried out safely and in accordance with school health and safety procedures
7. Support enrichment opportunities, including STEM initiatives, science clubs, trips, and extracurricular activities where appropriate
8. Collaborate with colleagues and wider school staff to enhance student outcomes
9. Maintain high professional standards and uphold the values of both the school and Milk Education
Person Specification:
10. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
11. Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
12. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners of varying abilities
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
14. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education
