Binnies, an RSK Group company, is seeking a BIM Coordinator to join the @one Alliance.
What will you do as our new BIM Coordinator?
You will manage digital modelling for multiple projects, oversee BIM technicians to create models that meet project requirements and BIM procedures. Collaborating with project teams, you will produce design and BIM models, ensuring quality and data integrity through checks and verifications to comply with BIM standards, procedures, and guidelines.
You will provide line management, guidance, and support to BIM staff. You will also expand your professional network within the @one Alliance and work collaboratively with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, Stakeholders, Environmental & Planning, and Construction Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Participate in design coordination meetings to resolve clashes and discrepancies, and identify opportunities for cost savings, schedule improvements, safety, and sustainability.
2. Use BIM models to identify design risks and mitigation strategies, sharing insights with the design team.
3. Support data extraction from BIM models for PCI documentation.
4. Ensure design data is well-structured and accessible within models.
5. Manage model catalogues to streamline data organization and optimize BIM model use.
6. Work closely with technicians, engineers, technical managers, and other team members to ensure accurate design representation in BIM models.
7. Provide technical support and guidance on BIM-related issues.
8. Create a respectful, inclusive, and positive work environment.
9. Research and implement innovative processes to improve output.
Skills, Experience, and Behaviors:
You should hold an engineering diploma, degree, or equivalent, with extensive experience in mechanical and civil disciplines, and proficiency in Plant3D, Civil3D, Revit, Navisworks, and Recap. Experience with water-sector assets, capital projects, and design & build environments is preferred.
You must demonstrate ethical standards, respectful attitude, collaboration, communication skills, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
