Priory Infant School is seeking a reliable, proactive and committed Site Manager to join our team. This is a key role in ensuring our school site is safe, secure, well-maintained and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors. The post is for 25 hours per week.
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the school site, including security, maintenance, health and safety compliance, and line management of cleaning staff.

You will:
1. Ensure the security of the site, including opening and closing the school and acting as a key holder
2. Manage the cleanliness and maintenance of buildings and grounds
3. Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance to ensure a safe environment
4. Monitor and maintain essential systems such as heating, lighting, alarms and CCTV
5. Oversee and liaise with external contractors, ensuring high standards of work
6. Lead and support cleaning staff and other site personnel
7. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including COSHH and fire safety
8. Carry out regular site checks and respond promptly to any issues
9. Manage supplies, stock and basic site budgets
We are looking for someone who:
10. Has practical maintenance skills and experience in site or premises management
11. Is able to work independently, prioritise effectively and solve problems
12. Has a strong understanding of health and safety procedures
13. Is organised and able to maintain records and manage contractors
14. Can communicate effectively with staff, contractors and visitors
15. Demonstrates integrity, reliability and commitment to safeguarding
16. Is flexible and willing to work occasional out-of-hours requirements
