The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Specialist Palliative Care Service covering NHS Lanarkshire.
The post holder will work as a senior advanced practitioner responsible for providing advanced clinical care and management of both stable and acutely unwell patients and their families, making complex, autonomous decisions using advanced skills and knowledge. They will have overall responsibility for assessing care needs and delivering advanced care. The post holder will be an experienced clinician, providing care from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation, within their professional boundaries. They must demonstrate competence across all four pillars of advanced practice and make autonomous, professional decisions.
The post holder will assess, examine, diagnose, manage, and initiate treatment for a range of adults.

What you'll need to bring
* Registered Nurse / AHP or Pharmacist with a valid NMC/HCPC/GPhC registration.
* Post Graduate Diploma (Masters) in Advanced Practice, with evidence of finalizing the degree, such as undertaking the last module or research dissertation.
* Independent prescriber.
* Knowledge of NHS Scotland leadership qualities framework or equivalent.
* Management experience through professional development.
* Experience in facilitating learning and teaching.
* Leadership and managerial experience within your specialty.
* Knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards.
* Experience assessing training needs and resource management.
* Ability to analyze needs assessment data.
* Leadership skills, strategic thinking, and team motivation.
* Experience developing innovative solutions and leading change.
* Completion of advanced practitioner program and competency.
* Proficiency in information technology.
* Valid UK/EU/EEA driving license.
Please note: a full, valid UK/EU/EEA driving license is required for this role.
Desirable qualifications
* Advanced specialty knowledge and experience related to the practice area, ensuring leadership within the specialty.
Contract details
Permanent, full-time, 37 hours/week.
Location and Working Pattern
Based at Specialist Palliative Care within Blantyre Health Centre. Working days: Monday - Sunday. Applicants may be considered for similar roles in other locations.
