Our client is looking for an experienced & confident Senior Bookkeeper to step into a hands-on role and keep their finance function running smoothly on a temporary basis.
This is a practical, delivery-focused role with full ownership of day-to-day accounting, no strategy, no budgets, no line management.
💼 What You'll Be Doing
✔ Managing the full accounting cycle up to trial balance
✔ Completing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
✔ Maintaining balance sheet accounts (accruals, prepayments, debtors & creditors)
✔ Processing income and expenditure across multiple funding streams
✔ Preparing schedules to support month-end and year-end audit
✔ Using Sage Line 50 & Excel daily
✔ Working closely with colleagues to resolve invoice and payment queries
✅ What We're Looking For
⭐ Strong hands-on bookkeeping experience (end-to-end)
⭐ Confident with bank reconciliations and balance sheet control
⭐ Comfortable working up to trial balance
⭐ Sage Line 50 experience
⭐ Good Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
⭐ Able to work independently and hit the ground running
🌟 Desirable (but not essential)
➕ Charity or regulated sector experience
➕ Understanding of restricted/unrestricted funds
➕ Experience supporting audits or year-end
🎓 Qualifications
AAT / ICB qualified or qualified by experience
