The Company
Bakeri Baltzersen is a wholesale and retail bakery operation and is based 7km outside Harrogate at Springfield Farm on the A59 near Menwith Hill. We bake a range of long fermented sourdough loaves, rye, ciabatta and more traditional yeasted white and granary style loaves/rolls. We also bake pastry and vienoisserie from scratch.
The Role
We are seeking a part-time Bakery Packer for a permanent role.
Days:
10pm Tuesday - 5am Wednesday
10pm Wednesday - 5am Thursday
10pm Thursday - 5am Friday
Duties will include:
Packing products for delivery.
Prepping paperwork and packaging for the next day
Other duties as required by the bakery manager.
There will be plenty of opportunity to pick up additional days to cover holidays within the team on an adhoc basis.
Early Start Early Finish
Packing is a process that happens overnight so we can get bread and pastries to our partners and customers as fresh as they can be. With this brings a start for the packing team at 10pm. You need to be the type of person that can be relied upon to get into work because you could be the first person in for a packing shift - sleeping through your alarm is not an option.
Prep
We are looking for someone who will be able to complete preparations for the following days deliveries so confidence using a computer and a keen eye for detail are both required.
Transport
The location of the bakery and the times of the shifts mean that you need to have your own transport to get you to and from the bakery. Public transport is not an option.
Pay
The basic rate for this role is £12.22/hr.
We also pay an additional £3.00/hr as an 'Unsocial Hours' top up rate between 11pm and 6am.
