We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a secondary school team. The successful candidate will inspire students to explore the past, develop critical thinking skills, and foster a lifelong love of history. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a History Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across KS3–KS5.
* Teach a range of historical topics, encouraging analytical thinking and debate.
* Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports students of all abilities.
* Assess, track, and report on pupil progress in line with school policy.
* Contribute to extra-curricular opportunities such as history clubs, trips, or enrichment activities.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Humanities department to drive continuous improvement.
Ideal History Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* A degree in History or a related subject.
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching history.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a History Teacher.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their potential.
