Engineering Manager Salary: Up to £70,000pa plus company car Location: Norfolk Job Type: Full-time Reed Engineering are supporting a highly respected company who are a global leader in project development and construction, as they require an Engineering Manager within their Infrastructure team. This role is crucial for overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of both temporary and permanent works at a major works in Norfolk. Day-to-day of the role: Act as the Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC), managing and coordinating the planning, design, installation, use, and removal of temporary works. Oversee method engineering, buildability, and technical sign-off of both temporary and permanent works. Review technical documentation and implement technical methods and systems to enable construction activities including earthworks, piling, pavement, roadworks, bridges, culverts underpasses, drainage, souring, and lifting operations. Manage engineering risks, including monitoring ground movements, addressing unexpected conditions, and approving critical permits. Coordinate design and construction integration, including change control, method statement reviews, and alignment of temporary and permanent works. Manage Material Approval Requests (MARs), ensuring only approved, spec-compliant materials are used. Provide technical support on quality assurance processes, including materials testing, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), survey requirements, and technical handover documentation. Promote digital delivery, encourage 3D model use, and support the digital handover of project data. Required Skills & Qualifications: Degree or alternative higher education qualification in Civil Engineering or considerable time served in a similar role. Knowledge and experience in the application of relevant industry specifications, such as The Specification for Highway Works. Conversant in relevant British and European standards. Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple aspects of a complex infrastructure project. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with various teams.
