The role – a real “feel good” job
This is one of those roles that offers an emotional lift for the person doing it and for the learners you support in equal measure. You genuinely make a difference to young people’s lives—helping them start the day feeling safe, calm and motivated, and ensuring they get home safely at the end of the day.
It’s ideal for someone with life experience, maturity and the confidence to pass that on positively—someone who enjoys local driving (Doncaster to Scunthorpe), takes pride in doing a job properly, and values building meaningful relationships supporting the learner in a number of different ways throughout the day.

4. Creating a positive start and finish to the learning day, helping learners feel safe, supported and motivated
5. Communicating professionally with centre teams, parents and carers when appropriate
6. Promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing during journeys
