Rate of Pay : £15.34- £19.96 per hour Summary: As a Family Support Worker (Lead Practitioner), you will be at the heart of Birmingham Children's Trust's mission to make a positive difference for children and families. You will act as the lead professional for a complex caseload, coordinating multi-agency interventions to safeguard children and promote their welfare. This role requires a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach to deliver evidence-based support that empowers families to achieve sustainable, positive outcomes. You will serve as a champion for high-quality practice, ensuring that the views and needs of children are central to every plan. Responsibilities: Act as the lead professional for an allocated caseload of children and families, managing and prioritizing complex needs. Ensure children's views, wishes, and feelings are accurately recorded and used to inform their assessments and plans. Deliver evidence-based interventions (such as parenting programmes or family learning tools) to safeguard and promote child welfare. Oversee Grade 3 staff in relation to single-agency support to ensure alignment with the Think Family Outcomes plan. Attend and contribute vital information to Strategy Meetings, Child Protection Conferences, and MARAC. Essentials: Proven experience working directly with children, young people, and their families in a social care or early help setting. Demonstrated experience in leading family assessments and coordinating multi-agency plans to achieve successful outcomes. Deep understanding of safeguarding procedures and the welfare of children.
