Background
Based in the Student Experience Directorate, the Student Communications, Voice & Community team use their expertise, knowledge, and student-centric approach to provide clear, accessible, and consistent student communications. They work collaboratively to create a culture of listening to and engaging with our students, supporting staff to gather, interpret and respond meaningfully to feedback. With a strong focus on belonging, the team build a warm welcome and sense of community for our students during their time with us.
Responsibilities
As part of a group of Student Communications Assistants, you will help shape and create engaging peer-to-peer content from day to day communications, campaigns and multimedia content to ensure students have the information they need to thrive at City St George's.
You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to produce content for our student channels, including Campus News, execute campaign plans around important topics like student safety and contribute to video and audio materials through research, writing and recording.
Person Specification
You must be a current student at City St George's based on our Clerkenwell or Moorgate campuses to be eligible for this role.
You may have some understanding of communications channels, but this is not essential if a commitment to wanting to learn and develop in this area can clearly be evidenced.
You should be a strong writer and presenter with the ability to source stories of interest, conduct research and generate ideas for projects, and have a good awareness of what's going on at City St George's.
